Penreach recently celebrated World Play Day under the theme "Rediscover Play, Recover Through Play" where we hosted nearly 1 000 children to participate in 40 games designed to activate their imagination and encourage creativity.

The theme was in recognition of the challenges societies across the world were confronted with during the pandemic that led to a loss of teaching and learning time for many young children in early learning programs.

The event took place at the Penryn College rugby fields, where children from 45 Early Childhood Develpment (ECD)) Centres from communities across the Ehlanzeni region such as Mkhuhlu, Daantie, Kabokweni, Matsulu and Barberton were represented.
